Cedar Scholars is a program that creates career opportunities for exceptional undergraduate students who come from traditionally underrepresented and diverse backgrounds. Cedar Scholar / Private Equity Internship At Cedar Crest Capital

Cedar Scholars will participate in Cedar Crest Capital's private equity part-time internship program, where they will learn, grow, and gain hands-on transaction experience. 

Position Summary

Cedar Crest Capital is looking for individuals to join a highly selective part-time internship at a dynamic private equity firm. The unpaid internship program is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of the private equity industry while gaining exposure to CCC's disciplined investment philosophy.

Our Cedar Scholars program is open to and can accommodate full-time/part-time schedules and in-person (Phoenix, AZ). 

Responsibilities

-Due diligence and deal execution: work with deal teams to evaluate potential investment opportunities through industry research, data analysis, and the review of financial and business information, and support in the execution of live deals

-Portfolio company management: assist in the reporting, oversight, and operations of existing portfolio companies while implementing CCC's best practices (e.g. organizational structure optimization, sales execution, financial valuations, etc.)

-Firm operations and strategy: support cross-departmental strategic initiatives; research and identify new investing opportunities

Qualifications

-Current Sophomore/Junior/Senior undergraduate students

-Demonstrated track record of academic success and/or professional pursuits

-High degree of personal and professional accountability 

-Demonstrated ability to internalize feedback and improve through coaching and training

-Strong quantitative and analytical skills

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative

-Exceptional work ethic and a deep sense of accountability

-Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
